Welcome to the West Sussex Guitar Festival page.
Every year, our Club stages its own “West Sussex Guitar Festival" in November, and has a similar event in February - the Guitar Section of the Chichester Festival for Music Dance and Speech. Both festivals include separate sections for Junior and Senior entrants and are open to all players from beginners to the most advanced. The adjudicators are usually world-renowned professional guitarists. This is a fantastic opportunity to perform and have first class feedback from one of the leading guitarists of our time.
The West Sussex Guitar Festival
In 2024 the junior section will be performing on 2nd November, and the senior section will be performing on the 3rd November.
We are delighted to welcome back Gary Ryan, one of our club patrons, as adjudicator. And Gary Ryan will be performing for us on Friday 1st November 2024.

The Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech
In 2024 the junior section will be performing on Saturday 1st February, and the senior section will be performing on the 2nd February
We are delighted to welcome Mark Ashford as adjudicator.

During lockdown we did a recorded festival dedicated to the composers Gary Ryan and Vincent Lindsey-Clark, which was adjudicated by the composers themselves.
